Physical Science serves as the foundation for all Engineering courses. A sound and
application-oriented understanding in Physics is a pre-requisite for the study of any
branch of Engineering. The Department having well-qualified, motivated and dedicated
faculty members strives to be dynamic, inclusive and a competitive Centre of excellence
in teaching, learning and research in the field of Physics. Such an approach ensures that
the technical needs of the students are fully addressed.
The faculty at the Department undertakes Engineering Physics courses for first year
B.Tech students of all branches. They have acquired experience of working with
international universities and have produced several high-quality research with national
and international publications in peer reviewed journals. In addition, many of the
faculty members have received funding for conducting research from various external
funding agencies.
The faculty members at the department are always keen to share their life experiences,
wisdom, as well as technical expertise with the students. Most of the faculty members
have an innate quality of being patient listeners, good observers, and talented problem-
solvers. These dedicated faculty members are fully committed and they always put extra
effort to know, accept, and respect the goals and interests of our students who belong to
various branches of Engineering.
