The main objective of fluid mechanics and hydraulic machines Laboratory is to help students understand the various properties of fluids and for the performance testing of hydraulic machines. The lab experiments are designed in a way to help the students easily understand the theories and principles they study in the course of Fluid Mechanics. The laboratory is equipped with a number of equipment and experimental setups to study the fundamental and applied aspects of hydraulics and hydraulic machines. The setups are used for calibration of flow measuring devices used in channels and pipes. Performance analysis of various hydraulic machines such as turbines, pumps are also carried out in this lab.
