Dept. of Mechanical Engineering

Tooling & Tool engineering plays a vital role in modern production system. It consists of tooling equipments and machine tools used for manufacturing tools and componenets. In this lab students experiences the machining of cutting tools, measurement of cutting forces and the operation of special types of machines such as Automatic lathe, Wirecut EDM, Turret and Capstan lathe, etc. The students gets hands on experience to operate the machines and understand the processes.
