Thermal Engineering Lab

In Thermal engineering laboratory, students will have the opportunity to reflect and reinforce the classroom theory such as Conduction, Convection and Radiation by performing the required experiments, analyze collect data, and present the results in a pre-planned report. The lab is equipped with experimental setups designed to familiarize students with basic thermal engineering maneuvers. Setups for measurements of heat transfer parameters, analysis of the transfer parameters, analysis of the performance of different thermodynamic systems like heat exchangers, refrigeration test rig, compressor etc. are available. The students are trained to perform operations such as calibration of temperature sensors and determination of thermal conductivities of solids, powders and liquids.
