NEW GUIDELINES FOR THE UTILIZATION OF FOUR FUNDS

TEQIP II FOUR FUNDS

For ensuring the sustainability of TEQIP II, Four Funds have already been made available to the institute after the end of the TEQIP II project. The period of utilization of Four funds is for 5 years commenced from 1st August 2017.

Four funds and its utilization :

1. Corpus Fund
  • Conducting BoG meetings
  • Salary and other office expenses
  • Hiring professional services for TDS filing, financial auditing, etc.
  • Students support activities like internship, Industrial visit to UG and PG students
  • Students attend workshop,Conference, technology exhibitions,etc.
  • Remedial class, Bridge course, skill development programmes
  • III Cell programmes
  • Research seed money projects for faculty
  • Securing sponsored projects and consultancy assignments
  • Professional body membership fee.

2. Faculty Development Fund
  • Expenditure on faculty attending training in subject domain, workshop, Conference,etc.
  • Organising inhouse subject area training programs, workshops, Seminars, Conference, etc.
  • Faculty attend Management Capacity Development programmes.
  • Staff development programmes.

3. Equipment Replacement Fund
  • Replacement of obsolete furniture and equipment including computers and related devices.
  • Upgradation of computers and software.
  • Add on modules and accessories for the items procured under TEQIP II main project.
  • Additional items to enhance the utility of items procured under the main project.

4. Equipment Maintenance Fund
  • Maintenance of equipments and furniture including computers and related devices.
  • Purchasing of consumables for the training activities in connection with TEQIP equipments.
  • Annual Maintenance Contract for equipments purchased under TEQIP II.

Guidelines for effective utilization of Four Funds
  • Norms for utilization of Four funds will be in accordance with the Programme implementation Plan (PIP) of TEQIP II.
  • To divide the funds to each departments based on the students strength and faculty strength of each department.
  • Permit the departments to recommend programmes within the total allocation of the department for the respective year.
  • The programme proposals must be recommended by respective committees to ensure the quality and utility of the program the faculty proposed to attend.
  • Ensure the participants from different colleges in the FDPs conducted inhouse.
  • Faculty from Architecture and MCA shall be permitted to conduct FDPs in association with departments or supporting departments.
  • Flight fare to be restricted for far off places in the case of faculty/staff attending training programmes. The places where one can reach through an overnight journey flights may be avoided and second class AC fare shall be permitted in such cases. Such restrictions shall not made applicable to Principal or such persons for attending meetings.
  • Seed grant for research to faculty members can be given. Support to research seed money projects must be with the approval from Research Council Committee.
  • Students attending Internship/workshop/seminar/conference/industrial visit/ lab visit the maximum amount payable per student shall be Rs 5000/-.On students internship, each department has to earnmark an amount and select the eligible students . Respective senior advisors have to handover the recommended applications to TEQIP office.
  • External subject experts can also be hired for conducting remedial class.
