NPTEL Local Chapter
To encourage more students across colleges to participate in the initiative, NPTEL local chapters are established under the headship of a faculty member of the college, who would be the Single Point of Contact (SPOC) in the colleges. Local chapter acts as a bridge between students and NPTEL by informing students about the upcoming courses, ensuring their full-fledged participation and reporting issues faced by students to NPTEL.
NPTEL Local chapter of TKMCE started functioning in 2016 and the current SPOC is Dr. Adarsh S, Professor, Department of Civil Engineering. TKMCE is recognized as an ACTIVE Local Chapter by NPTEL and is one among the top 100 local chapters. TKMCE local chapter was awarded with prestigious AAA rating (rank 1–10 at All India Level) during the period July–December 2016. NPTEL recognized TKMCE local chapter as NPTEL local chapter star during the period July–December 2021 for being one among the 100 best local chapters continuously for the last 10 semesters.
