Dr. A. Cini, alumnus of the 1983–88 Civil Engineering batch, has been nominated to the Technical Committee of the World Road Association (PIARC), France, on the recommendation of the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways, Government of India. She is the first woman from India to be nominated to this global technical committee.
Dija S, alumna of the 1994–98 Computer Science & Engineering batch, received the Award of Excellence for Leadership in Digital Forensics Research from the Future Crime Research Foundation (FCRF) at the Future Crime Summit 2025 in New Delhi. She currently serves as Associate Director / Scientist F at C-DAC Thiruvananthapuram.
Our alumna Sinimol Noushad (1997 Civil batch), Founder & Chairwoman of Unique Project Solutions, Dubai, has been honoured with the Golden Achievement Award Dubai 2024 in recognition of her outstanding professional accomplishments.
Dr. Krishnakumar of the 1997 EEE batch has been recognised for the development and implementation of remote operation of stand-alone RMUs for KSEB, contributing significantly to modernising power distribution infrastructure.
Alumnus J J Jalal (1989 Civil) has been recognised by UNICEF and Stanford University for over three decades of selfless service, including work in cancer centres, old age homes, COVID relief, and flood rehabilitation, demonstrating exemplary commitment to humanity.
Our alumnus and noted Malayalam film actor/director M. A. Nishad has been awarded the prestigious UAE Golden Visa. He joins a select group of Malayalam film industry personalities honoured by the UAE government.

Our distinguished alumnus Dr. S Somanath, an Indian aerospace engineer and rocket scientist, has been appointed by the centre as the new chairman of the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO). He is currently the Director of Vikram Sarabhai Space Centre, Thiruvananthapuram. He was a team leader for the Integration of the Polar Satellite Launch Vehicle (PSLV) during the early phases of his career.
Dr. T. A. Shahul Hameed, principal, TKMCE, visited the Sharjah Research Technology and Innovation Park (SRTIP), UAE. The visit included a tour of Sharjah Open Innovation Lab (SoiLAB) and discussions on linking the upcoming IDEA lab at the campus with SRTIP for trainings, internships and makings, facilitated by TKMCE alumni.
Tropical Greenovation Cluster (TGC), a TKM alumni-led startup founded by Architecture alumna Ashiqua Sulthana, received the 25th Kerala Energy Conservation Award for its contributions to energy-efficient and sustainable building design.
TRaiCE, an AI-augmented credit risk monitoring platform founded by TKM alumni Sony Gabriel and Geetha Ramaswamy (1995 CS), has been featured in Forbes India Marquee. The platform helps financial institutions streamline and automate portfolio risk monitoring.
Aroma International Building Contracting LLC, owned by alumnus Sajeev P. K. (1989 Civil), has won Dubai Government’s prestigious Taqdeer Award for outstanding employee welfare performance for the fourth consecutive year.
Our esteemed alumnus Prof. P. A. Muhammed Basheer, FREng, has been elected President of the Institute of Concrete Technology (ICT), the only global professional body with authority to issue professional qualifications in concrete technology. His four-decade-long journey in concrete research has earned him numerous international honours.
Novezo, a venture led by TKMCE alumni, has signed an agreement to acquire HCL Infotech with a purchase price of ₹147 crores, taking over more than 800 employees and expanding its footprint in the technology services sector.
Alumnus Nizamuddin Mohammed (1997 Mechanical) has taken charge as CEO of Maker Village, India’s largest electronic hardware incubator and ESDM facility under KSUM and MeitY. He will lead collaborations with corporates, academia, and startups in the hardware innovation ecosystem.
