Ltd. is pleased to announce the successful completion of the Two-Week Internship Program on Electric Vehicles (EVs), conducted in association with the Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering, TKM College of Engineering, Kollam . The internship was designed to bridge the gap between classroom learning and industry practices through a blend of expert-led sessions and hands-on training. Throughout the program, participants gained practical knowledge in: ✅ Fundamentals of Electric Vehicle Technology ✅ EV Architecture and Powertrain Systems ✅ Battery Technologies & Battery Management Systems (BMS) ✅ BLDC Motors and Motor Controllers ✅ EV Charging Systems and Infrastructure ✅ Power Electronics in Electric Vehicles ✅ Vehicle Diagnostics, Safety, and Maintenance ✅ Hands-on Assembly, Testing, and Troubleshooting of EV Components A key highlight of the internship was the Industrial Visit to Kerala Automobiles Limited (KAL), Thiruvananthapuram, where students had the opportunity to witness real-time manufacturing and assembly processes of electric vehicles. The visit provided valuable exposure to industrial practices, allowing participants to gain first-hand insights into EV production, battery integration, quality control, and the functioning of various electric vehicle components. This industry exposure significantly enhanced the learning experience by connecting theoretical concepts with real-world applications and inspiring students to explore emerging opportunities in the field of sustainable mobility. 🌍 Happy to share that an MoU between TKM College of Engineering (TKMCE) and ASAP Kerala (Additional Skill Acquisition Programme) was initiated today. ASAP Kerala, a Government of Kerala undertaking under the Higher Education Department, is widely recognized for its initiatives in enhancing employability and industry-relevant skill development through innovative training programmes. Its impact has been acknowledged in the CII India Skills Report 2022, 2024, and 2025. As part of this collaboration, TKMCE will function as a Centre for Skill Development Courses and Career Planning (CSDCCP), facilitating various ASAP training programmes and skill-oriented initiatives. TKMCE will also collaborate with ASAP Kerala in offering specialized Signature Courses designed to bridge academia and industry requirements. These programmes will be open to both TKMCE students and external participants. As the first initiative under this collaboration, the Department of Electrical & Electronics Engineering will launch a 60-hour Signature Course on “Foundations of Intelligent Robotics” from July 2026. The occasion was attended by Ms. Greeshma Latha and Sri. Shreejeet K, Managers, ASAP Kerala, along with Dr. Mohammed Mansoor, HOD EEE, Dr. Resmi R, and Dr. Krishnakumar.
